What is a blog?

Blog is short for Weblog. A Blog is basically a frequently updated online journal comprised of links and postings arranged in reverse chronological order.

What is a permalink?
Permalink is short for "permanent link". It is a link that readers can use to bookmark the current blog post. This is important, as most blogs change regularly, and without a permanent link, the posts would be impossible to find later.

Categories
This is a method of organizing blog entries by assigning each entry to a predetermined topic. Each topic (category) will link to a list of entries, all with related content. 

Comments Tags
There are two sections of comment tags in a template. One section simply creates the links that readers see next to your posts and clicks on to leave you a comment. The other section displays the comments themselves.

Why does my email address appear in the Navbar?
Your email address will be shown in the Email address block on the comment page. Your email address will no longer show once you've signed out.

How do I label my posts?
When you're writing a post, you'll have a space at the bottom of the form marked "Labels for this post." Enter whatever labels you like, separating them with commas. You can also click the "show all" link to display a list of labels you've used previously. Then just click on the labels to add them.

How do I leave comments on a blog?
If someone has comments enabled on his or her blog, then you can usually find a "comments" link at the end of each post, like this:

If you click this "comment" link, you will go to the comment posting page. The comment posting page looks like this:

The left-hand column may contains any comments that have already been made.
Beneath that are the identity options.
In the center of the page is the space for you to enter your comment.

How can I subscribe to comments by email?
The comment subscription feature allows readers of a blog to receive an email each time a comment is made to a particular post. You can subscribe to a post's comments by clicking the "Email" link next to "Subscribe to comments" on the post page.
